You will find Rottach-Egern am Tegernsee only about 50 kilometers south of Munich. We have put together the following information for you to make your journey easy:
By car:
From the north:
Take the A8 Munich-Salzburg motorway to the Holzkirchen exit and then the B318 via Gmund, Tegernsee (or Bad Wiessee) to Rottach-Egern. In Rottach-Egern, main street, approx. 100m after the town hall (tourist information) turn left between the "Cristallo" ice cream parlor and a pharmacy into Sonnenmoosstrasse. After about 400m turn right into the hotel entrance.
From the south:
Either via the Inn Valley, the Achen Pass and the B307 or the Inn Valley autobahn, the A8 Munich-Salzburg autobahn, to the Irschenberg exit. Via Miesbach to Tegernsee, Rottach-Egern. Here you will find the most important traffic reports in Bavaria.

By train:
Long-distance trains from all over Germany and Europe arrive daily in Munich (main station). Every hour, the Bavarian Oberlandbahn (BOB) takes you quickly and directly to Tegernsee train station, where you have a quick connection to continue your journey to Rottach-Egern by bus and taxi.
- by bus with the ring line to Rottach-Egern (post office stop).
Then walk (approx. 600m) or take a taxi (right at the bus stop) to the hotel.

By plane:
Munich Airport is approx. 1 hour's drive (90 km by taxi or possibly rental car) from Tegernsee. There is also a permanent, direct connection with the S-Bahn or the airport bus to Munich Central Station. From there you can reach Lake Tegernsee either by train (BOB) or directly by bus (RVO) from the main train station. (More journey: see note on: "By train").
